About
Us
Dyslexia Mastered is run by Ruth Ann Youngberg, in Bellingham,
Washington. Ruth Ann has been trained in the Davis
Dyslexia Correction® Methods, and is now a certified Davis
Facilitator. She is a certified elementary schoolteacher with
19 years experience teaching all ages, children through adults.
She has taught in public schools, Head Start, Sylvan Learning
Center, as a Parent Advisor of hearing impaired children, and
as a teacher of family relations classes on a university level.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Elementary
Education, a Master's degree in Family Relations, and 27 further
hours of university credit in education related subjects. She
is the mother of 6 children, most of whom are gifted with dyslexic
characteristics.
She became interested in working with dyslexics when she could
see the difficult time that very intelligent children had with
reading or remembering spelling words or math facts. Their performance
did not fit their potential. There did not seem to be anything
that could help these individuals. How exciting it was to find
a program that could do just that! She now enjoys seeing young
people and adults on their way to successfully achieving their
full potential.
